Spinning and Weaving Equipment | Special Items

All special items are made individually. Most are one-of-a-kind, such as the Mission Bed that I helped Matthew with and the Spinning Wheel which I made for Celeste. Most were inspired by my family (Celeste’s jewelry box will be here when I finish it) or friends, or taken on as a creative challenge. In the end, each piece is unique. While I don’t take many special requests (the Kumi Himo was an exception), if I find it to be interesting enough and I have the time, I may consider it. Please contact me with any questions.

Communion Set

This is one of two communion sets that I have made. This one was given to my Mom and Dad’s church in their memory. The other one was made out of oak from a tree that was taken down near my parent's church.

Spinning Wheel

Spinning Wheel

This was my first lathe project. It is a walnut wheel that I made for Celeste.

Kumi Himo

Kumi Himo

I made several of these for a dear friend. It is used to make Japanese braid.

Price: These are available only as a special request. Prices range between $125 to $175 depending upon the type of wood.

Mission Bed

Mission Bed

My son, Matthew, came home with this crazy notion to make a bed for himself. After about a year and a half we finished. It is beautiful and is destined to be a family heirloom.
